The IT Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our business stakeholders and the IT development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to gather, analyze, and document business processes and requirements and translate them into detailed specifications for the development team. Additionally, the Business Analyst will conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and perform demos to ensure that the final product meets the business needs.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed requirements.
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed, clear, and actionable written requirements for the development team.
  • Ensure that the requirements are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.

Documentation & Communication

  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with both business stakeholders and the development team to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular meetings and follow-up with stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Develop and execute UAT plans to validate that the solutions meet the business requirements.
  • Coordinate with the development team to ensure that any issues identified during UAT are addressed promptly.
  • Document UAT results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver demos of new features and functionalities to business stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback during demos and ensure that any necessary changes are communicated to the development team.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and IT teams to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

Requirements:

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, computer systems, or a related field.

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in technology.

Minimum Experience: 5+ years in a business or data analyst role.

Preferred Experience: 10+ years in a technology-driven role.

Travel Requirement: May occasionally travel to offsite meetings and other engagements as requested, at various national locations.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Project planning tools (Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.), Business Modeling tools (Miro, UML)
