Aerospace Business Units

Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions supplies engineered high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures. Our global customer base includes all major engine and airframe OEMs, as well as major Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers to the engine and airframe OEM’s and through our FAA approved repair stations we support major MRO and aircraft operators with repair and overhaul capabilities.

Brief Description

The CNC Programmer II is responsible for all CNC programs for manufacturing equipment directly impacting the overall performance objectives for the company and compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements and/or division. This position significantly impacts Rexnord’s ability in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is a Non-Exempt hourly technical position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ability to write programs that will machine complex parts to very close tolerances on multiple axes on various machining centers.
  • Horizontal Machining Centers including Macro, sub program and variable programming knowledge.
  • 4 axis lathes, 5 axis lathes, Y axis lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers large and small.
  • “Shop Floor” problem solving.
  • Kaizen participation such as SMDE, VSM, 5s.
  • Maintain program library's and revision status of program revisions per NADCAP requirements.
  • Hands on knowledge of the programs storage and the ability to assist shop associates in uploading and downloading programs.

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field desired or 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial technical field, programming CNC equipment is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed business decisions.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills (CAD/CAM, Esprit, Solid Works, MasterCam, word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.).
  • Skilled in G and M code editing, Macro style programming, multi axis function(s) and Fanuc/Okuma/Mitsubishi CELOS controllers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
  • Self-starter working with little direct supervision.
  • Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authority.

Compensation based on Experience / Skills: $30:00 -$37.00/hr.
