Position Summary

As the Customer Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal liaison role between our Marketing and Sales organizations, with contributions that fuel our commercial success. In this role, you’ll handle traditional CPG Customer Marketing responsibilities, including retailer support, promotional planning, trade marketing, trade show ownership and supporting sales with compelling, on-brand materials. In addition, you’ll dive into entrepreneurial, cross-functional activities such as new product launches and shaping our brand presence in-store and online.

This position reports directly into our SVP of Marketing, though you’ll work with teammates across the organization to break new ground and set new bars for the biggest name in magnetic building.


What We’re Looking For

  • Act as the primary liaison between Marketing and Sales teams, bringing our brand and Marketing strategy to life at the retail level.
  • Support our retail partners with assets, collateral, merchandising solutions and tailored programs to drive sales (ex. DTC) and improve the consumer experience at retail.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives that support retailer promotions, drive in-store engagement, and enhance brand visibility across multiple retail channels.
  • Lead trade show strategy, planning and execution for our 3 key shows each year – inc. Spielwarenmesse (Nuremberg, Germany), ASTRA (US location varies), Toy Fair (New York).
  • Partner with the Sales team to create compelling customer presentations and sales collateral to support sell-in.
  • Ensure our domestic retail partners and global distributors are well versed in the brand’s unique and defining elements, key selling proposition and evolving portfolio.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of customer marketing programs, making data-driven recommendations for future campaigns and tactics.
  • Work collaboratively with National Account Managers to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of our annual trade/promotion budgets.
  • Ensure 3rd party ecommerce product listings and brand stores (i.e., Amazon, Target, Walmart) are fresh, relevant and tailored to retailer requirements and evolving shopper expectations.
  • Oversee industry advertising efforts, including print and digital publications, trade show advertising.
  • Passion for play, our consumer and the day-to-day work required to build an enduring, world-class toy brand.

Desired Experience + Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Marketing, Marketing or Sales within a CPG organization.
  • Experience marketing to millennial moms and/or toy industry experience will set you apart but is not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to transform insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knack for building strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial environment where adaptability and resourcefulness are key.
  • Intrinsically motivated and entrepreneurial self-starter with a positive “can-do” attitude.
