Duties and Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Associate Dean for Research, and will engage the school, its faculty, staff and doctoral students in strategic research advancement, communication of research and research opportunities, enhancement of collaboration/team science and proposal support functions to impact research and scholarship. These efforts will include guiding and mentoring faculty, staff, and doctoral students in their efforts to develop and submit proposals to external and internal funding opportunities and promote growth in SSW’s external funding from both traditional and non-traditional granting agencies (Including foundations and corporations to further their corporate social responsibility initiatives and promotion of social justice.)
Master’s or doctoral degree in related social or health sciences; 3-5 years of documented experience and success in advancement and/or sponsored programs in higher education; administrative experience in higher education in working with faculty in research development-related activities.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Master’s degree in any social or health sciences; 3 years of documented experience and success in advancement and/or sponsored programs in higher education; Administrative experience in higher education in working with faculty in fund raising and/or grantsmanship.
Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral degree in related social or health sciences; 3-5 years of documented experience and success in advancement and/or sponsored programs in higher education; administrative experience in higher education in working with faculty in fundraising and/or grants related activities.
