Job Details DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation of large multi-axis machining centers at customer facilities.
- On-site troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, & hydraulic systems.
- Assembly and disassembly of machine components.
- High and low voltage wiring for machines and auxiliary components.
- Install and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluids plumbing on machine.
- Trouble shooting of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic related issues.
- Trouble shooting of control and servo related issues from the CNC control.
- Perform machine alignment using electrical and mechanical gauges.
- Test run and check of machine function.
- Function as a team member with others inside and outside the organization.
- Communicate with customer and direct supervisor on progress related to machine repair/install.
- Document service reports for work performed for customer and supervisor.
- Maintain weekly expense reports.
- Create repair procedures.
- Provide technical phone support for customers.
- Able to travel up to 75% to customer facilities throughout the US.
- Possess valid US driver’s license and able to rent a car.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Technical/vocational school certificate or associate degree or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical assembly or repair. Pneumatic experience a plus.
- 3-5 years machine tool assembly or servicing including strong mechanical, and electrical testing and debugging. Must have three years proven experience with metal cutting machine tools.
- Field Service experience required. Must have basic electrical wiring/testing experience.
