Frontend Developer

We're PrintNinja, a printing company operating out of Evanston, IL. We're seeking a talented Front End Dev to join our team to help us craft an exceptional user experience. We're a collection of friendly dweebs who have obsessive interests: books, comics, games, tabletop games etc. etc. If you are also a friendly dweeb we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

You'll be the person for maintaining and evolving our site, combining technical expertise with creative flair. Whether you're tweaking our WordPress theme, or designing altogether new interfaces, your problem-solving skills will be put to good use. We want someone who can offer up an opinion and a firm perspective on design and best practices!

What You'll Do

• Design and implement responsive web solutions using WordPress
• Create and edit engaging visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite
• Work with our Back-end Dev to Manage website hosting and maintenance through cPanel and InMotion
• Collaborate with team members to optimize user experience and site functionality
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement creative solutions
• Develop and maintain brand consistency across digital platforms

What We're Looking For

• Proficient in WordPress theme development and customization
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with cPanel and web hosting management (InMotion experience is a plus)
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
• Ability to articulate technical concepts into regular ol’ plain language
• A keen eye for detail and passion for clean, readable code
• Bonus points for experience with print design and production

Required Technical Skills

• WordPress development and customization
• Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Basic familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (PHP a bonus)
• Responsive web design principles
• cPanel and hosting admin
• Cross-browser compatibility testing

We've been providing printing services to self-publishers and small businesses since 2009 and specialize in books and card games with a focus on product categories like comic books, graphic novels, and children's books. The best part of our job is helping those customers bring a dream project to life. We take the hard work out of brokering print from overseas and bringing it to the US for our customers so they can get back to doing what they do best; creating.
