ABOUT THE ROLE

This Head of CIO Office at the Corporate IT level will act as a trusted partner for IT leadership to become a business-oriented organization. The position reports to the Corporate CIO and is responsible for managing the Office of the CIO, providing leadership for the cross-functional management of IT across the enterprise. It oversees functions like IT strategic initiatives, project portfolio, Enterprise Architecture, business relationships, performance management, and the definition of IT ways of working (for example, common methodologies, processes, and tools for developing and operating IT). Furthermore, the function supports the CIO and the business in defining and regularly reviewing the Corporate IT Strategy. The position focuses on ensuring that the IT organization "does the right things" through the right strategy and governance, as well as "doing things right" through organizational and operational model development and performance management.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Partner with the Corporate CIO in providing IT vision and direction for the enterprise
• Lead global and strategic IT projects, programs, and initiatives
• Manage the overall IT Project Portfolio for the Group including proper assessment of programs, projects and change requests before being approved by the Corporate CIO
• Coordinate corporate-wide technology selections with strategic impact
• Establish, implement, and monitor continuous-improvement programs for the IT organization
• Support the Corporate CIO and IT leadership team for ad-hoc analysis, EXCO and other presentations, IT Marketing and Communications
• Work with the Corporate CIO, IT leadership, and business leadership team, providing broad insight to IT domains and capabilities in support of enterprise-wide business decisions

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Information Technology or related field
Required Work Experience: 10 years experience

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
