ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Consolidation is responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and PCAOB standards. This role involves leading the consolidation process for the company's global operations and providing accurate and timely consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. The Head of Consolidation will also play a key role in the development and implementation of financial reporting systems and processes, particularly utilizing Tagetik.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

1. Financial Reporting: Lead the consolidation process for all subsidiaries and entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Intercompany Transactions: Ensure all intercompany transactions and balances are accurately eliminated in the consolidation process.
3. Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement consolidation policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with regional and local finance teams to gather and validate financial data.
5. Analysis: Review and analyze consolidated financial results to identify trends and variances.
6. External Reporting Support: Support the external reporting team in preparing SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K).
7. Cash Flow Statements: Manage the preparation of consolidated cash flow statements.
8. Guidance on Standards: Provide guidance on the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards.
9. Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls over the consolidation process.
10. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of consolidation accountants.
11. Financial Systems: Participate in the development and implementation of financial reporting systems.
12. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements.
13. Training: Provide training and support to finance teams on consolidation processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

1. Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Required Work Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial reporting or consolidation.
3. Required Training/Certifications: CPA certification.
4. Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Additional Requirements: Extensive experience with SEC reporting requirements and consolidation accounting principles.
