Inside Sales Director – Merchant Acquisition (Retail & Restaurant Focus)

We are hiring for our client, who is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Director to spearhead efforts in acquiring merchant accounts nationwide, with a focus on retail and restaurant sectors.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and expand an inside sales team dedicated to acquiring retail and restaurant merchant accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to target businesses nationwide, focusing on cash discount pricing and other cost-saving payment solutions.
  • Partner closely with marketing to create lead generation campaigns specific to retail and restaurant businesses.
  • Train and mentor sales reps, instilling deep product knowledge and best practices for selling cash discount programs and other merchant services.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds sales targets.
  • Analyze performance data to identify growth opportunities and refine the sales process for continuous improvement.
  • Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers in the retail and restaurant sectors.


What They’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in merchant services sales, with a strong emphasis on acquiring retail and restaurant businesses.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or sales management role, with a proven ability to lead and grow a high-performing team.
  • Hands-on experience selling cash discount pricing and other payment processing solutions – this is a must.
  • Ability to develop innovative sales strategies and adjust to market trends.
  • Strong communication skills, with a talent for building lasting relationships with merchants.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on tracking and optimizing performance.
