Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking to hire junior to midlevel associates for its Intellectual Property Disputes practice. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation at a large law firm. A background in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or an equivalent technical field is preferred. Candidates must also be active members of the bar in the jurisdiction where the position is located. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex IP disputes with high-profile clients in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Handle intellectual property disputes, including patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on complex legal issues, case strategy, and client communication.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on IP law.
• Prepare for and participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Assist in managing client relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams on litigation strategy.
• Stay current on developments in intellectual property law and emerging legal issues.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, preferably in a large law firm environment.
• A background in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or a similar technical discipline is strongly preferred.
• Active membership in the bar of the jurisdiction where the position is located.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Experience or interest in managing and litigating complex intellectual property cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the state bar of the location where the position is based.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of intellectual property law, particularly in the areas of patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
