Mental Health Associate

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field with high level of interpersonal communication (Social Work, Communications, Etc.) OR
• Associate’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant mental health experience

Pluses:

• Inpatient Mental Health Experience
• Experience working with adolescents ages 12 - 22

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is seeking a second shift Mental Health Associate to provide essential support in an inpatient mental health unit for adolescents aged 12 to 22 years old, who require the highest level of care due. The MHA will perform basic mental health exams, recognize behavioral changes that necessitate escalation, and collaborate closely with licensed nurses, maintaining a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 MHA to Nurse ratio. Responsibilities will also include complex client case management, leading group therapy sessions, providing crisis intervention, conducting detailed assessments, and working with licensed clinicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of young patients while fostering a therapeutic environment.
