Job Title: Remote Orthopedic E/M Coder

About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring for a client seeking Orthopedic E/M Coders to join their growing team. This position focuses on coding for orthopedic evaluation and management (E/M) visits and in-office procedures, excluding surgical coding.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and code orthopedic E/M visits and in-office procedures, such as:
  • Injections (joint and pain-related)
  • Minor office procedures (e.g., incision and drainage)
  • Imaging and diagnostic services (X-rays, scans, and labs)
  • Validate and ensure physician-entered codes align with documentation; adjust or add codes as needed.
  • Interpret and apply payer guidelines, including Medicare LCDs and reimbursement policies.
  • Utilize internal systems, including EPIC, for coding and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
  • Proficiency in orthopedic E/M coding and Medicare guidelines preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Experience with EPIC and Codify is a plus.

  • Schedule & Requirements:
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, starting at 8:00 AM CST; 8-hour shift
