Project Engineer - Primary Responsibilities:

1. Work with the Naperville office team to prepare civil engineering design and obtain approval on projects ranging from retail shopping centers and restaurants, K-12 school improvements, and industrial development. This work would include site due diligence and layout, grading and utility design, and stormwater management calculations.
2. Multidisciplinary work with the larger raSmith company including survey, structural, transportation, and landscape architecture departments to provide the clients with a full suite of private development services.
3. Responsibilities also include representing the firm at meetings with clients, owners, or agencies during the design and construction process.
4. Other duties as assigned.

21. Pay range: $95,000 - $115,000+ dependent on experience

Project Engineer – Skills and Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
2. 8-12 years of progressive experience in land development design and civil engineering including grading, utility, and stormwater design.
3. Experience permitting with Illinois agencies such as DuPage County, MWRD, IEPA, IDOT, etc.
4. Attention to detail and self-initiative.
5. Ability to delegate tasks to team members.
6. Advanced technical writing and oral communication skills.
7. Strong organization skills.
8. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software is needed.
9. Applicable U.S. based work experience.
