Role

Award-winning, Chicago-based, experiential marketing agency is seeking an experienced, solution-oriented Senior Account Executive (SAE) to support best-in-class marketing programs and corporate events.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in concept development, management and implementation of all aspects of programming.
  2. Ensure all aspects of events, from logistics to technology, meet or exceed client expectations.
  3. Build program decks - training manuals, presentation/concept decks, wrap reports.
  4. Proactively approach and anticipate internal and external concerns and maintain level of flexibility to quickly respond to changing demands.
  5. Daily contact with multiple clients, responding to and managing client requests and maintaining open and frequent communication.
  6. Work closely with clients to understand their event goals and objectives.
  7. Inspire/gain confidence of client team; develop tactical solutions; translate clients input and respond effectively and efficiently to client needs.
  8. Move projects forward to meet objectives and deadlines; anticipate challenges; manage time effectively; adhere to deadlines.
  9. Develop and manage status reports to ensure projects stay on course.
  10. Work closely with and provide leadership and guidance to junior team members to ensure programs are being flawlessly executed.
  11. Create, manage and track budgets; monitor and negotiate expenditures to stay within budget parameters.
  12. Elevate concerns, challenges, opportunities and wins to supervisor substantiated with market-level, solution-oriented insights.
  13. Source and manage multiple vendor/supplier relationships.
  14. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; share insights with the team and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 4 to 6 years professional, relevant agency experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree required (Communications or Marketing preferred).
  3. Excellent communicator and relationship builder.
  4. Strategic problem solver and decision maker.
  5. Keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  6. Must thrive in a team dynamic.
  7. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  8. Must be available for up to 25% travel, with the ability to work nontraditional evening and weekend hours.

Salary & Benefits

  1. $68,000 - $75,000/year.
