SALARY
$115,000 - $130,000
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs a broad variety of legal duties in support of the Authorityβs General Counsel. Represents the Authority in corporate matters, with a particular emphasis on either commercial litigation or transactions, including providing client departments with advice with respect to major procurements, bond issues, grants, intergovernmental agreements, and other commercial transactions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited school of law and licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, plus three (3) years of experience as a practicing attorney, of which one (1) year of experience was spent specializing in corporate law, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required to maintain appropriate continuing legal education credits.
Experience with public sector procurement laws preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office environment. Makes occasional site visits to non-office locations (e.g. court or other CTA facilities).
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND MATERIALS UTILIZED
Standard office equipment, personal computer, and legal-related equipment and software.
If position emphasis is litigation, trial visual aids equipment and litigation support software.
Additional Details: Employees and/or union members will be given priority consideration in the hiring process, per the applicable labor contracts.
Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.
