Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Total Rewards is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the companyβs total rewards programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure programs support the companyβs business objectives and meet all legal requirements. This role ensures that programs are competitive, equitable, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Compensation
- Develop and administer compensation programs, including job evaluations, pay structure development, base pay administration, and incentive plan design and analysis (including Sales Incentive plans)
- Conduct market analysis and participate in salary surveys to ensure competitiveness.s
- Manage the annual merit increase and bonus processes
- Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws
Benefits
- Manage enrollment, renewal, and delivery of benefits programs to include medical, pharmacy, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, employee assistance programs, retirement, and other programs.
- Effectively plan and execute the implementation and administration of all benefit plans including annual open enrollment efforts.
- Oversee all benefit communications.
- Manage relationships with benefit brokers and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, Non-Discrimination Testing, 5500 filings)
- Monitor and manage benefit deductions, arrears, and employee contributions to ensure they are processed in HRIS and sent to vendors weekly
- Ensure monthly vendor invoices are paid accurately and timely
- Oversee and partner with HR team to administer leaves of absence
- Evaluate and recommend new benefit programs
Compliance
- Stay abreast of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation, benefits, and employment.
- Advanced knowledge of ACA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, HIPPA, FLSA, FMLA, GINA and that Company practices are in line with applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain total rewards policies and procedures and ensure they are compliant.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.e
- Develop and deliver training programs on compensation, benefits, and compliance topics.
Other
- Must possess solid technical skills and experience managing HRIS systems (i.e. benefits administration, carrier feeds, ACA and government compliance and compensation management)
- Develop and lead a total rewards team
- Analyze data and prepare reports on total rewards programs
- Serve as a subject matter expert on total rewards matters
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, prioritize,e and monitor a variety of work projects
- Confidentiality, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required
- Support acquisitions/affiliations and other key human resources departments with key initiatives as needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience required
- 7+ years of benefits administration/management experience required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy
- Requires excellent follow-up skills encompassing a thorough mindset
- Strong verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of discretion to maintain confidentiality at all times
