The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic HR initiatives and objectives as it pertains to planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.Essential Functions of the Job:Oversee the Human Resource Dept and its team members in daily operations, including the HR ManagerCoordinate with the HR Manager to ensure all new team members are trained completely and accuratelyDevelop, review, propose, and implement new and revised policies and proceduresPartner with Operations Team to create, execute, and automate company-wide employee training and onboardingCollaborate with Safety Committee and Workers’ Compensation carriers to reduce work-related injuries, develop and maintain transitional duty programs, add and remove states to policies, and meet other WC-related goalsCollaborate with liability insurance providers to assist in the mediation and resolution of liability claimsWork with legal counsel as necessary, including the enforcement of non-competition agreementsResearch, develop, and propose new or renewed health insurance policies and other employee benefitsPartner with the HR Manager to ensure internal employee onboarding audits are completedResearch existing and changing workplace trends and propose changes as necessaryPartner with the HR Manager to ensure completion of UC and WC claims, and employee evaluationsEnsure the HR Dept maintains new and existing health insurance policies for internal and external staffEnsure proper progressive discipline, termination, and resignation processes are followed for internal staffComplete all research, tasks, and special projects as directed by the Executive TeamInvestigate complaints that are elevated to the VP of HR in an accurate and professional mannerConduct employee mediations that are elevated to the VP of HRMaintain compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulationsMaintain professional working relationships and interactions with all departments and officesMaintain confidentiality standards dailyWork in an office environment on a full-time basis unless otherwise specified by the Executive TeamRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferredRelevant Human Resource certification preferred, i.e., SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.Prior experience in a professional work environmentCustomer service and conflict resolution skillsGeneral knowledge and capability to operate office equipmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsAttend all Manager and Assistant Manager meetings, both on-site and off-site when notified in writing by DNA of required attendanceMeet or exceed all essential functions of the job, including but not limited to, work performance goalsPhysical Demands:Ability to remain in a stationary position for the duration of the workdayAbility to move about the office, bend, and reachAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyWork Environment:Generally, works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting if specified by the Executive Team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
