Duties and Responsibilities

The Position
Reporting to the Provost, the Vice Provost of Institutional Research and Analysis will serve as a leader in advancing the University’s desire to better fulfill its mission through a robust use of data and data-informed decision making. The individual in this role will be instrumental in the University’s future success, helping to promote continuous improvement across the university and measuring the outcomes of strategic university priorities. This position will coordinate institutional research and analysis, survey research, university assessment and evaluation, institutional compliance reporting, data governance and other projects to ensure operations and future strategic and budgetary plans align with sound analytical data and continuous improvement, furthering the mission of LUC.
The Vice Provost is responsible for leading and managing a team of highly engaged and experienced research and data administration professionals to execute a complex and dynamic set of projects with competing deadlines and priorities. The Vice Provost works collaboratively across the institution to identify, define, and prioritize institutional research and assessment that supports enrollment planning (including enrollment projections, recruitment yields, student retention, and student graduation); faculty instructional workload; instructional costs and academic productivity; peer benchmarking; student metrics; academic and non- academic program review and evaluation; and university accreditation. This individual leverages data to provide analysis, insights, and recommendations related to all aspects of university operations, planning, quality improvement, and decision-making to strengthen learning outcomes and experiences for a student body with diverse identities, backgrounds, and educational paths.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
A Master’s in research methods or a field related to social sciences, measurement, or quantitative methods. Ten years of higher education experience involving a combination of strategic planning, program review, outcomes assessment and institutional research.
